Who is DJ Rider?
Just a few years ago he arrived from Europe and immediately took Los Angeles by storm.With his extensive, over six years experience of performing for large audiences in elite clubs of his hometown in Russia, DJ Rider surely knew how to please the entertainment-hungry club goers of this city. His professional DJ-ing career began when he was a university student. Night life and the clubbing scene became a ground where he could combine and showcase his life-long passion for music and his outgoing personality. When he was younger, he remembers always taking over the CD player at parties, or in cars when riding with friends, always playing with tracks, even before he knew what he was doing.
When a friend offered to show him how to DJ, it evolved into a serious commitment. From now on, all he could think of, aside from studying, was spinning the music. Soon he was offered a permanent DJ residency at the “Fruit”, the city’s most elite night club at that time. Introducing the newest, hottest international tracks he attracted huge crowds, brought up the club’s revenues and became somewhat of a local celebrity himself. And in a city populated by 1.5 million people this was no small thing. Private event bookings lined up.
Still remaining as ambitious as ever, DJ Rider was looking beyond the horizon. Never stopping at current achievements, he packed up and came here to the States to explore the possibilities and to better himself and his music.
As everybody here knows all too well, LA club scene is dominated by hip hop, and though the genre is popular, sometimes too much of a good thing is just that – too much. So the fresh beats of DJ Rider’s European and American electro-house, tech-house and progressive house were an anticipated and welcome relief.
